Sunday, November 8th: Led Zeppelin IV:

On November 8, 1971…Led Zeppelin released their fourth studio album…Led Zeppelin IV.

It is highly ranked as on of the greatest albums of all time on numerous lists including on both Classic Rock and Rolling Stone Magazine Greatest Albums lists.

The album, produced by Jimmy Page, was recorded, for the most part, at the country house Headley Grange. The setting allowed Zeppelin to work on different styles and arrangements.

All songs were written by the band, with the exception of “When The Levee Breaks”, which was a rock cover of the Memphis Minnie blues song.

Featuring one of the most iconic songs of all time in “Stairway to Heaven”, in addition to the classics “Black Dog” “Going to California” and “Rock and Roll”…Led Zeppelin IV is the bands best selling album ever.

Sunday night at 8 we spin every track uninterrupted on Led Zeppelin IV on the Sunday Night Vinyl Series!
