Our Hospital Walk Run

You can walk, run or volunteer in the hospital mile, 5km, 6km trail run, or the 10km.

Teams can consist of individuals participating by walking or running any distance or volunteers who work during the event.

Raise Pledges – Funds raised support the purchase of urgently needed medical equipment at the NBRHC. Funds stay 100% local.

Course Description:

6 km Adventure Run
This route is for experienced trail runners only! Trail consists of roots, rocks and mud. Over more than 100m of elevation for your running enjoyment. During times with heavy rainfall, sections of the route will be extremely muddy and wet.  Ankle deep mud and standing/running water will be encountered. Runners will experience a variety of terrain, from hard packed trails, to roots and rocks, to mud and water.  Although the race course will be cleared of most fallen debris, please take special care and caution when climbing and descending.

10 km Walk/Run
Paved course. The bottom flat section leads to a graduated hill climb with an 80m change in elevation. A stroll around campus leads to a view of lake Nipissing on your way downhill to the finish.** Sub 2 hour finishers start at 9:00 am.

Hospital Mile
Once around the hospital ring road. A few paces more than an actual mile.

Participant Award:
Every one crossing the finish line will be given a Participant Award.

Timing Information:
ChampionChip® is a miniature transponder in a specially designed plastic housing. This device contains a chip in combination with an energizing coil. These elements are encased in a waterproof glass capsule, meaning the ChampionChip® can be used under all conditions (wet, dry, cold and hot).
