**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service is in the midst of investigating a suspicious vehicle fire which occurred on Price Road, approximately six kilometers south of Dalton Road, in Price Township, south of the City of Timmins.
Police were first alerted to the incident during the late afternoon hours of Friday, April 20th.
Police believe that the remains of four individual were found at the scene. The identities of the deceased have yet to be confirmed conclusively.
The investigation is proceeding at a healthy pace in keeping with the investigative protocols brought into play In “loss of life” investigations.
The scene remains secure and under the control of our personnel.
The Timmins Police Service can confirm that the deceased persons are en-route to Toronto for post mortem examinations.
The vehicle involved in en-route to the Centre of Forensic Sciences so that it can be subjected to further forensic examination.
Public assistance is still being sought in regards to information pertaining to any sightings of the vehicle, a 2004 Chrysler Intrepid, believed to be blue or green in color, in the area leading up to and including Friday, April 20th.
The Timmins Police Service view this fire as being suspicious in nature, and foul play has not been ruled out.
As a professional and empathetic agency, the Timmins Police Service has made preliminary contact with a local family, in part to ready them for an anticipated outcome, and to obtain information to assist with the investigation.
This hinges of course on the anticipated confirmation of the identity of the victims.
The investigation is unfolding and the general public will be kept informed with any new developments so long as those details do not impact the integrity of the investigation.
