The General Manager of the Osprey Links Golf Course in Callander says he’s pleased with how things went this season.

Jeff Rogerson told BayToday things got off to a slow start due to the pandemic but golf courses were one of the first business sectors to be back open once restrictions started to be lifted.

“People that hadn’t played at all or hadn’t played in a long time were on the golf course and we were a beneficiary of that,” he says.

Still he says they had to adjust throughout the year by holding fewer events, there was less  food and beverages sold and fewer players in tournaments.

“We ran very few if any corporate events. We ran some charity events and club events as well. So we were lucky in that regard,” Rogerson says.

He says weather wise they had a good year.

Another change was having tee times rather than shotgun starts in an effort to reduce gatherings.
