Trespasser causes hold and secure at West Ferris Secondary

The Near North District School Board says West Ferris Secondary School was placed in a hold and secure at 2:45 pm today.

A statement on the board’s website says the reason was a trespasser on the property.

The board says staff acted quickly to ensure all students and staff were safe.

They also say police attended and handled the situation, with the hold and secure lifted just after 3 pm.

North Bay Police say further information is expected to be released tomorrow.
