A 32 year old city man has been charged with break and enter and possession of a substance believed to be crystal meth.

The charges were laid after residents of a Laurier Avenue residence returned home to find someone in their living room.

Police say around 10:30 am they arrived at the residence and located someone on the front porch where he was arrested.

Police say they recovered some personal items from the home and a small amount of the drug.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad has issued a Canada Wide Warrant for a 35 year old male.

He’s known to frequent several areas of the province including North Bay, Timmins, Matheson, Iroquois Falls, Barrie, Kitchener and Cambridge.

He is currently serving a one year and two month sentence for Armed Robbery, Pointing a Firearm, Break, Enter and Commit, Disguise with Intent, Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime and Theft.

He is described as a Caucasian male, 35 years of age, 5’7″, 199 lbs with short brown hair and hazel eyes.

He has several tattoos on both forearms, a Ram on his right shin, a Zombie with Piston through head on his left shin and “Live to Ride Ride to Live Y.J.L.” on his right shoulder.

Nipissing West OPP have charged a 35 year old person from Sturgeon Falls with two counts of spousal assault.

Police say the charge relates to incidents in 2012 and 2017.
