Later, the vehicle was stopped and the driver was arrested.
Police say they uncovered a quantity of drugs suspected to be Fentanyl and Cocaine along with a replica handgun and over $750 in Canadian currency.
The street value of the drugs seized is approximately $13,250.
The charges include operating a vehicle while impaired, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and possessing an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Additionally, police say before they located the vehicle, the occupants switched drivers and a 40 year old Sturgeon Falls resident has been charged with careless driving.
