The new Bruce Springsteen album Letter To You was conceived in about 10 days according to The Boss, and recorded in half that time live at Springsteen’s Colts Neck, New Jersey home studio. The full album is dropping October 23rd, but we already have two singles to bask in before its full release; The title track and ‘Ghosts’.

This album brought the E Street Band and Springsteen together again, which is fitting considering how ‘Ghosts’ in particular is a heartfelt salute to fallen bandmates and friends. Even his inspiration for the whole album came from his grief after losing an old high school bandmate, George Theiss. So when Springsteen picked up a guitar given to him by a fan, he couldn’t stop the flow of music coming out of him even if he tried.

Hear for yourself how The Boss pays tribute to his friends and his ongoing love affair with rock and roll in his latest single ‘Ghosts’ below.
