Health, Fitness and Aquatics facilities at the North Bay YMCA won’t be reopening until at least September.

Officials say that’s their target with health and safety being their top priority.

“With the stage 3 announcement released on Monday, July 13th we are able to open our Health, Fitness and Aquatics facilities, however at this time, our facilities will remain closed and we are targeting a reopening in September. We have and will continue to prioritize the health, safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers, members, participants and our community. We have made the decision that while our staff teams remain focused on running quality YMCA Summer Day Camps and child care that we will not consider reopening fully to our members at this time.” says Helen Francis, President and CEO for the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario.

More details about specific dates, programs and services are expected in the coming weeks.
