Battalion add another Russian forward to their roster

The North Bay Battalion selected Russian forward Matvei Petrov first overall in the CHL Import draft this morning.

The 17 year old right winger is from Moscow.

He scored 5 goals and 4 assists in 21 games with his Russian club last season.

The team’s two imports are both from Russia.

The Troops acquired forward Matvey Guskov from London earlier this month.
