Today is a big day at the North Bay Regional Health Centre as Care Partners are being welcomed back.

These essential visitors are family and friends who provide critical and often ongoing personal, psychological and physical support to patients in care.

There’s been restricted access at the hospital since March due to COVID-19.

Starting today, each inpatient can have one care partner or a designated alternate who can visit the patient between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. or 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. and one entry and exit per day is permitted.

The ‘essential visitor’ or care partner will need to be in good health, screened before entry and wear a hospital issued mask at all times while in the hospital.

General visitors will continue to not be permitted in the Health Centre as an important measure to ensure everyone’s health and safety.

All COVID-19 related information can be found on the hospital website: www.nbrhc.on.ca.
