The Special Investigations Unit says has ended an investigation into an injury suffered by a city man in April of this year and any potential criminal liability of two North Bay Police officers.

A report says two city police officers attended an apartment on Clarence Street to investigate the well-being of a man and to further investigate whether he was in breach of a judicial order.

The report says the officers knocked on an apartment door and agreed to wait in the hallway when they were told the man would be leaving the apartment.

It says the man left the doorway to get changed and while officers waited the man jumped out of the third-floor bedroom window.

He was transported to hospital where he was determined to have a fractured pelvis and arms.
