A significant donation for One Kids Place that will benefit their Snozelen Room.
Development officer Katharine Strang tells BayToday the $4500 raised from Mark Lyons’ Autism fundraising sock campaign will go towards a ‘Sound to Sight Showtime Panel”.
“It has different lights and it is much more modern looking so it is actually going to bring a lot of new interest to our room and help kids with a different piece they can play with.” she says.
Strang says the Snozelen Room is open to the community too, not just their clients.
She also says Lyons is a wonderful community partner.
“His ability to sell socks is amazing and his ability to have the community rally behind him is also amazing. It is so nice to see someone whose child has actually been part of One Kids Place understand the value of the organization.” Strang says.
With COVID-19 restrictions it’s not known when the new equipment will be installed.
