The city is planning for the re-opening of regular parking enforcement and transit fare collection on transit and para buses by June 15th.

Parking enforcement was eased and transit fare collection was suspended when non essential businesses were first shutdown.

Officials say several protocols have been put in place that will allow for the safe re-introduction of fare collection and front door boarding as plexiglass barriers have been installed.

There will remain a limit of 15 riders per bus to ensure sufficient space for physical distancing.

One-hour of free, on-street parking or two hours of free parking will still be available in Lot 2 on Oak Street or Lot 4 at the Parking Garage.

The North Bay Regional Health Centre says they will be able to resume some appointments, surgeries and procedures beginning on Monday with new measures in place to keep patients, staff and physicians safe.

Patients will be contacted directly to reschedule their procedures.

Not all surgeries and procedures will resume on Monday and you’re being asked not to contact the Health Centre directly to ask when you will be rescheduled.
