A 32 year old male from West Nipissing is facing drug related charges following a drug seizure in West Nipissing last night.

Police say they seized fentanyl, crystal meth and a quantity of Canadian currency.

Police say the drugs have a street value of $46,000.

Charges include possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

 

A 29 year old Bonfield Township resident is facing multiple charges following an incident early Thursday morning in which a vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed.

Police say a vehicle failed to stop for police on Highway 11 in the Almaguin Highlands area.

Police say they spotted the vehicle near Powassan and it stopped suddenly causing a collision with a police vehicle.

The vehicle in question was located later in Bonfield Township and two people were found hiding nearby.

The charges include dangerous operation of a vehicle, flight from police, possession of property obtained by crime and racing a motor vehicle.

North Bay Police are looking for public assistance in connection with a vehicle being damaged on both sides.

Police believe the damage occurred on Thursday where it was parked in a lot on McIntyre West.

Police say the damage was not caused in a collision.

OPP have charged a 49 year old West Nipissing resident with criminal harassment and uttering threats. The charges were laid in regards a complaint from an area resident about being harassed on social media.
