North Bay Police report a man suffered non-life threatening injuries after being attacked with a knife early Sunday morning in a parking lot in the 600 block of Cassells Street.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing just after midnight on February 16th.

A 29 year old city woman has been charged with assault with a weapon and breach.

Police say it was an unprovoked attack with the victim struck in the head with a knife, which caused two lacerations.

They say he pushed away from his attacker and ran eastbound on First Avenue to a safe location.

Police say the woman was located and arrested, with the knife also recovered by police.
