Plenty of North Bay Elite Alpine Ski Cross (EASX) team members won medals at the first of four stops in the O-Cup Ski Cross Series.

Races were held in Haliburton last weekend.

Cole Darling, Logan Baird, Samantha Brooks, Cameron Gray and Cartier Liddle all had first place finishes, with eight gold medals won.

The local team also won eleven silver medals and nine bronze.

Next up the FIS team will be heading to the Calabogie Ski Resort to compete in their first FIS NORAM of the season against athletes from all over North America and other parts of the world.

EASX’s youth programs will continue to train at Laurentian Ski Hill, preparing for their next race at the Craigleith Ski Resort in early February.
