Powassan Voodoos goaltender Owen Say has been selected to play for Team Canada East at the World Junior A Challenge. The event is in B.C. next month.

Also representing the Voodoos at the event will be head trainer JJ Johnson who was named to the Team Canada East training staff previously.

Say has a 16-1 record this year with a sparkling 2.14 goals against average and a .929 save percentage.

He told BayToday he can’t wait for the tournament which starts next Saturday.

“It’s something I’ve dreamed of growing up. Getting the chance to put the Canadian jersey on is a dream come true. It’s a big honour and remember for the rest of my life,” Say says.
