An update after a serious assault in September in Bonfield.

North Bay OPP have charged 30 year old Claude Amyotte of Bonfield with attempted murder and aggravated sexual assault.

Police say officers attended a residence on Church Street in Bonfield on September 21st and found a person with life-threatening injuries.

The victim is now in stable condition.

The investigation continues.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident or anyone who was in the Bonfield area on the evening of September 21st or early morning of September 22nd and observed anything suspicious, to call the OPP immediately at 1-888-310-1122.
