A work-to-rule campaign involving 55-thousand education workers in Ontario, including custodians, administrative and education assistants, is underway.

CUPE says mediation broke down over the weekend.

The union says the workers will stop working overtime and performing extra duties.

Education Minister Stephen Lecce says it’s “deeply disappointing” that the talks were unfruitful.

Meantime, the Near North Local of the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario is holding a strike vote today.
