A North Bay man has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

This relates to a single motor vehicle collision on Lakeshore Drive Wednesday afternoon.

Police say there were no injuries.

They say impaired driving remains the leading criminal cause of death and injury in Canada and 100% of impaired driving incidents are preventable

Police also say, whether its alcohol or a drug, don’t drink and drive.

Meantime, North Bay Police are looking into a boat and motor that was stolen from a local business on Trout Lake Road.

The theft is believed to have occurred early last Sunday morning when a male suspect stole a 20 foot Glastron boat, described as black, blue and white in colour.

The boat had a 200 horse Evinrude motor and was on a trailer.and the suspect was driving a dark coloured four door pickup truck.
