The city is about to get another client for the Airport Industrial Park.

The i’s haven’t been dotted and the t’s haven’t been crossed yet but the city has sold municipal land for $140,000 to a Norgalv Limited to build a 32,000 square foot galvanizing Plant.

Mayor Al McDonald says the project represents a $21 million investment and once fully operational next year will employ 45 people.

He says staff deserve a lot of credit to make this happen and this is another example of everyone working together to grow the city.

“This doesn’t mean we don’t have challenges but it’s great to see in the first 6-9 months of this council’s mandate they’re focused on bringing business and industry to North Bay,” McDonald says.

He says the city has a very affordable price for serviceable land available and that has helped but having everyone on the same page is a big factor too.
