North Bay Police have laid charges in connection with a downtown incident early Tuesday morning.

The charges facing a 41 year old male include aggravated domestic assault, possession for the purpose of trafficking in fentanyl and two counts of possession of Methamphetamine.

Police say the name of the person charged is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Police say their investigation took place in two locations downtown, on Main Street East and McIntyre East.

Meantime, Two North Bay men are facing several charges including theft, break and enter and attempt to obstruct justice.

Police say during the arrest of the two men a 3rd individual became involved and during the arrest this 3rd person sustained an injury.

As a result, the Special Investigations Unit was contacted and they have invoked their mandate.

One of the two original people charged is also facing a trafficking in Methamphetamine count.

Police say this incident occurred at one of the two locations of the first incident.
