The Conservation Authority has extended the flood warning for the North Bay and Callander shoreline of Lake Nipissing until Tuesday.

Officials say water levels remain high due to recent rainfall.

The good news there’s no rain in the forecast for the next few days, after Saturday, and they believe levels should drop back down over the weekend.

The water level has risen by over 4 cm in the past day or so.

Meantime, a ‘Watershed Conditions Statement – Water Safety’ remains in effect for the Mattawa River, and other watercourses in the area because of high water levels.

An overnight special weather statement ENDED just after four this morning.
