The North Bay Battalion will have a new number one netminder next season.

Christian Propp has been traded to the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds.

In exchange, the Troops receive a conditional 15th round pick in the 2022 OHL priority selection.

In the last two seasons, Propp played 83 games for the Battalion plus playoffs and was entering his overage year.

Going into training camp, the Troops top two goalies appear to be holdover Christian Purboo and Powassan Voodoo Joe Vrbetic.

This  means the Battalion have 4 overage candidates remaining for next season including Nick King, Brad Chenier, Matthew Struthers and Daniel Walker.

The Powassan Voodoos have picked up a defenseman in a trade.

Noah Brant was acquired from the Picton Pirates of the Provincial Junior Hockey League.

He scored 17 goals and picked up 28 assists in 42 games last season.
