The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority has extended the flood warning until Monday.

Water levels on Lake Nipissing are said to be very high and are affecting the lower sections of the La Vase River, Parks Creek, and Jessups Creek.

Officials say Lake Nipissing’s water level has gone up recently due to shifting winds.

The level of the Ottawa River at Mattawa is also high and the level has risen slightly lately but it’s expected to decrease over the next few days.

There is good news though as no precipitation is in the forecast for the next several days.
