A successful Blue Box Food Drive on Saturday.

The North Bay Food Bank says 3,700 pounds was collected.

Officials are thanking the public for the donations and Miller Waste Systems and Miller Paving for collecting the food on the weekend.

Meantime, McHappy Day was a success locally.

McDonalds says $11,750 was raised last Wednesday, in support of the Ronald McDonald House in Toronto and the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Unit at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.

One dollar from every Big Mac® sandwich, Happy Meal® and Hot McCafé® beverage sold last Wednesday was donated.
