We Will Rock You featuring the music of Queen began its 4 night run at the Capitol Centre last night.

Jocelyn Bell is the producer of the show.

She says the production is set 300 years in the future when the evil rulers of the time don’t want people to experience rock until our central characters come along and want to know about rock.

“Galileo and Scaramouche are on an adventure to find the Bohemians and they find out that rock isn’t truly dead. They can find it anywhere if they believe what they hear and feel,” she says.
Bell says 24 Queen songs are part of the show.

Tickets are $20.

Show times are 7:30 tonight, tomorrow and Saturday.

The show is a T.O.R.O.S. production which stands for Theatre Outreach On Stage.

Bell says there are students from throughout the area as part of the cast and crew.

“40 plus students from grade 9 through grade 12. They’ve from Sturgeon Falls, North Bay and Callander. It’s a nice collection of youth from our community,” Bell says.
