North Bay’s fire chief is predicting smoke from the Parry Sound fire to come our way early Friday morning and stay until mid afternoon.

He says that’s what their computer models are telling them about wind direction.

Jason Whiteley expects a repeat of that into Saturday morning.

Meantime, he says all open air burning is banned in the city except for barbecues and propane fired devices.

The fire risk is high and bans instituted by the city and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry remain in place.
