If the forecast holds true, the sweltering heat will be record-breaking today (Wednesday) in the North Bay area.

This as the heat warning continues.

The Weather Network says today’s high is expected to be 33.

That would surpass the 1944 record by about four degrees.

Yesterday we reached 30.6 degrees, which was about a degree shy of the 1966 record.

Meantime, the mini-train and carousels at the waterfront will be closed today because of the extreme heat.

Officials say watch their Facebook page for updates on when they’ll be back open.
