If you’ve gone to North Bay City Hall lately you know you can’t get in the front door because of ongoing renovation work.
Now comes word it’s going to take 11 more weeks to complete an extra $99,000 worth of work that was approved by council on Tuesday.
Chair of Community Services Mark King says during the initial work major deficiencies at the entrance were uncovered.
“Because the electrical room is below and the cement has deteriorated because of salt coming in the building over a long period of time a major problem has been created,” he says.
A staff report says the electrical room contains all the circuits which power the panels in the building.
