It’s been about a month since city council last met and there’s a number of issues on the agenda tonight (Tuesday).

There’s a couple rezoning requests at the committee meeting at 6:30 pm.

One involves a subdivision proposal, including 53 lots, in the Norman Avenue area.

The regular Council meeting, which starts at 7:30 pm,  includes a councillor motion calling for support of a ferrochrome facility in Timmins.

The ONTC stands to benefit from the project.

The facility would smelter minerals from the Ring of Fire.

Reports coming forward to council tonight include one on replacing the roof at Pete Palangio Arena.
