A collision last Friday, just after 5 pm, is being investigated by the province’s Special Investigations Unit.

Officials say a member of the North Bay OPP was involved in a collision with another vehicle on Highway 17 East in Bonfield.

The SIU says at the time of the crash the officer was responding to another occurrence.
