Mattawa OPP report a 19 year old woman is facing charges, including spousal assault, after striking a vehicle with an axe in Mattawa on Tuesday.

Police say there was a person inside the vehicle, who drove away, with the suspect following behind.

OPP located the vehicles on Main Street in Mattawa and got them to stop by blocking the bridge.

The woman is also charged with two counts of assault with a weapon.
