Environment Canada has issued a weather advisory for the North Bay area, involving Thursday’s forecast.

Officials say snowfall and rapidly falling temperatures could affect road conditions beginning early tomorrow morning.

It’s all because of a cold front moving into the area.

Environment Canada says as this front passes scattered showers or flurries will quickly change to snow.

Temperatures will also quickly fall which could lead to locally icy surfaces.

Snowfall amounts near 5 cm are expected by Thursday evening before the snow tapers to isolated flurries.

Of note, Friday’s forecast calls for a high of minus-8 degrees.
