Canadore College is receiving close to $800,000 in provincial funding to study the impact of their indigenous poverty reduction program.

This is one of 48 projects the province is supporting to address poverty needs in Ontario.

The money is targeted at helping people break the cycle of poverty, increase food security and ending homelessness.

At Canadore, the focus will be on supporting indigenous young people to finish post secondary education so they can enter and remain in the labour market.
