The Education Quality and Accountability Office has released several reports involving province-wide test results for each school and school board in Ontario, including locally.

When it comes to reading, writing and math scores in grades three and six, all four local boards were below the provincial averages.

However, some did see better board-level results compared to the previous year.

Grade 9 applied and academic math results were better than the provincial average at the Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic Board while the applied results were above the provincial score at the Near North Board.

The French Catholic board results were only slightly below the province-wide average.

Grade 10 literacy results at all four local board were below the provincial averages, however results for the Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic Board were only slightly below.

80 percent of students there were successful, only one percent below the provincial mark for English schools.

The success rate at the local French Catholic board was 83 percent, but the provincial average for French schools in Ontario was 92.
