The North Bay Battalion and Powassan Voodoos played Friday afternoon pre season games.

The Troops were at the OHL showcase in Buffalo against Kitchener and won 4-3 in a shootout.

Justin Breazeau, Andy Baker and Luke Moncada scored for North Bay in regulation and Brett McKenzie scored the lone goal in the shootout.

The Troops play Windsor at 12:30 Saturday afternoon.

Meantime, the Voodoos won their 3rd pre season game in as many days by a 6-3 count over French River.

Cade Herd led the offense with a pair of goals.

The Voodoos open the regular season at home next Friday against Kirkland Lake.
