There was a simulated active shooter exercise last Friday at 22 Wing CFB North Bay.

The exercise included participation by the military, North Bay Police, OPP and EMS.

The idea was to test the base’s ability to handle a potential threat.

Acting 22 Wing Commander Lt. Col. Mark Lachapelle says collaboration between all the services is essential during a lockdown,

He says 22 Wing can identify potential problems, refine plans and procedures and ensure safety.
