Troops first round draft pick signs

The North Bay Battalion have received a commitment from their first round draft pick Brandon Coe.

Coe selected 3rd overall in the priority selection will be here next weekend for the teams orientation camp.

He says he’s excited and honoured to join the Battalion.

Coe stands six-foot-three and weighs 166 pounds and notched 33 points in 31 games this past season for the Toronto Nationals minor midget team.

Team officials say Coe is a big power forward who plays physical and has a heavy shot.
