NDP Leadership hopeful in the city today

One of the Federal NDP leadership hopefuls is in the city today (Sunday).

Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus is bringing his “Got Your Back” tour to North Bay.

He’ll be upstairs at Legion Branch 23 on First Avenue West from 1 pm to 3 pm.

The public is invited to let Angus know what’s important to them.

There’s no cost to attend.

Four people are vying to replace Tom Mulcair as NDP leader, although the deadline to register is July 3rd.

Voting starts in September with several rounds scheduled until one candidate has more than 50 per cent of the vote.
