10 local restaurants are taking part in a tasty fundraiser for the AIDS Committee of North Bay and Area.

A Taste For Life goes tonight (Wednesday April 26th).

Communications Coordinator Kirk Titmuss says it’s easy to get involved.

“Go out and have a great meal, great time with friends and family. Then at the end of the evening, the restaurants that they are at will provide us with 25 per cent of their bill and all the bills of that evening,” he says.

Funds raised support the Committee’s client services and outreach programs.

Titmuss says they don’t have a fundraising target, per say, but it has been a great fundraiser in the past.

“$6,000 would be wonderful. It’s a number that we’ve achieved in the past, but we do have 10 restaurants this year, which is the most we’ve ever had, so hopefully we’ll surpass that number,” he added.

The restaurants involved include:
Aroy Dee
Average Joe’s
Crown & Beaver
Cultura Tapas Bar
Farina Ristorante
Lu Lu’s Bar & Grill
My Thai Palace
The Portage Restaurant
Raven & Republic
The Station Tap House

Officials say one lucky diner will win a $100 gift certificate to enjoy at their favourite participating eatery.
