The city is meeting with contractors to get pricing on removing a large chunk of rock that’s sitting on the sidewalk on the 1200 block Cassells Street.

It fell off the rock cut last Saturday.

Public Works Director Nick Schiavone says they had an engineer on site yesterday (Thursday).

“We had a mining engineer evaluate the entire face of the rock and that individual identified additional rock that is loose and needs to be removed,” he added.

They’re getting a cost on removing the rock and hope to have that done early next week.
