Predictably unpredictable.

Those words from The Weather Network’s Meteorologist Kelly Sonnenberg on the spring forecast.

She says spring and fall are both transition seasons and the temperatures will reflect that.

Sonnenberg says temperatures in the spring can range from plus five to minus 15 all in the same day and that’s normal.

She says once we’re through March though we’ll get spring and summer time temperatures at a quicker than normal transition.

Sonnenberg says there is an air mass battle in the spring between the arctic air of the north and the warm air in the south and that’s why you get milder temperatures.

But she says once that system leaves we’re back to the plunging temperatures and the taste of winter.

She says March Break temperature wise should be seasonal or slightly below normal and that means colder wind chill values.
