It’s called “We Are All Learning Together” and it involves a series of local events working toward reconciliation lined up for the next four Wednesdays.

Culture is the focus for the first event, taking place from 7 pm to 9 pm tonight at Mother St Bride.

Local Indigenous educators are facilitating a learning circle, exploring the Seven Grandfather Teachings, Medicine Wheel Teachings, Smudging and Language.

Other sessions include:
– History (7-9 pm Feb. 8th at Widdifield Secondary School)
– Residential schools (7-9 pm Feb. 15th at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall)
– Celebration and feast (6-9 pm Feb. 22nd at Nbising Secondary School)

The series is a joint effort involving the kina maamwi gdoo-wiikendasmin working group, local school boards and community partners.
