Several first place finishes by CT-33 Thunderbirds swimmers at the Paula Palangio Memorial Swim Meet at the 22 Wing CFB North Bay pool.

Among those who took home individual races were Timothy Corbeil, Trael Daly Stevens, Samuel Denomme, Sydney Doidge, Melody Farrell, Elle Louise George, Jesse Hammond, Evan Kilroy, Sheldon Kilroy, Rachelle Ouellette, Cole Paralovos, Riley Periard, Drew Sinclair, Olivia Trottier and Jenna Wall.

Eight other swimmers earned 2nd place finishes including Abigail Betsill, Zachary Boucher, Leah Chirico, Michael Denomme, Lindsay Greig, Emilia Lainevool, Jaiden Paralovos, Ryleigh Paralovos.

The T-Bird relay teams excelled at the event with the 11-12 year old girls, 13-14 year old girls, 13-14 year old boys and 15 year old and over boys earning 1st place in their 4×50 medley relay, while the 11-12 year old girls, 11-12 year old boys, 15 and over girls and 15 and over boys captured the win in their respective 4×50 free relay events.

Cole Paralovos qualified for AA Provincial Championships being held at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre in Brantford.

Evan Kilroy and Trael Daly Stevens both added Provincial A qualifying times to their portfolio this past weekend.

 

Meantime, the North Bay Titans swim team took part in the same event and Julia Rivet won all 6 of her events.

She also achieved the Ontario Festival time standard in the 50 M Freestyle.

Other first place finishes were turned in by Ashlyn Auger, Gabriel Cadieux, Madison Edgar with 3, Joshua Gough, Ayden Michaud with 3, Jillian O’Donnell with 2, Chloe Popp with 4, Emma Ringuette, Katherine Tripp with 2 and Alexis Viczian.

Second place honours went to: Gabrielle Buden, Leah Dawson, Aurore Doughty, Annabelle Jackson with 4, Cooper Jackson with 2, Brody Marietti with 2, Madison Piper, Katie Sefton, Drew Stephenson, Reuben Stevenson with 2 and Emily Yates with 2.

Titans who placed third include: Owen Baas with 2, Mikaelle Dobbs, Jack Hachkowski, Julie Jonescu with 2, Sarah Lepkan and Olivia McCauley.

Titans who accomplished personal best times were:  Megan Bouffard, Jessica Brightman, Sarah Cadieux, Indiana Coffin, Emma Cook, William Fraser, Wyatt Kennelly, Aleigha Money-Smith, Marlee Parker, Ryan Spencer and Katelyn Warner.
