The Senior Ministry Media Relations Officer with the Ministry of Natural Resouces and Forestry Jolanta Kowalski says they are monitoring activity near an ice hut on Lake Nipissing.

She says just because there’s been movement or activity doesn’t mean there’s been a violation of the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.

Kowalski says no warnings have been issued recently but one may have been issued earlier.

She says if someone has an ice hut for commercial purposes there must be a license to perform any activity.

Kowalski says if anyone sees a violation they should call the ministry tip line.

Kowalski says their investigation is on going.
