City police report a 52 year old North Bay man is facing domestic assault and forcible confinement charges after a couple domestic-related incidents.

Police were contacted by a concerned citizen, reporting a suspected domestic incident at a North Bay residence early Wednesday morning.

It’s alleged a verbal dispute around 4 am turned violent with a woman repeatedly punched.

The police investigation revealed a historical incident that happened in April, where it alleged the victim was strangled.

She suffered non-life threatening injuries in both incidents.

 

Meantime, North Bay Police are investigating a number of thefts from vehicles overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.

Loose change was reportedly taken.

The incidents happened on Parkwood Drive, Blair Street, Tackaberry Drive and Maplewood Avenue.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

And North Bay Police say two bicycles were stolen between 11 Wednesday night and 8:30 Thursday morning from the back of a residence on Main St. West.

Police say both bicycles were locked.

Both were adult bicycles- a Cannondale and a GT.

One was black and orange and the other white and orange.
