The city and the province are combining efforts to extend the Kate Pace Way Trail from Memorial Drive to Gormanville Road.

The idea is to allow cyclists to travel with little interactions with vehicles.

There has been some concern from residents on Gorman Street about a trail coming through their neighborhood, but chair of Community Services Councillor Mark King says the neighborhood will be consulted.

He is also trying to ease concerns.

King says the options are the CPR-OVR right of way and Main St. West.

The total cost of the project is $725,000 with the city paying for $400,000 and the province the rest, around $325,000.
