A North Bay Man has been found guilty of four counts of animal cruelty under the Ontario SPCA Act, including permitting an animal to be in distress and failing to comply with an Ontario SPCA Order.

In March, the Humane Society received a report of a dog with a thin body condition at a North Bay home.

It had swallowed a stone that was blocking his digestive track and an order was given to provide veterinary care to the dog.

The dog was later removed after the order wasn’t complied with.

The stone was removed and the dog, named “Floyd” made a full recovery.

Wayne Farrow is banned from having custody or control of any animal for 10 years, fined $200 and given one-year probation.
